Avionics Communcations will be introducing a new family of remote DME's,
a new family of remote ATC Transponders with Mode S, and a new family of
COLOR LCD Control-Displays for the Comm, VOR/LOC/GS/MB Nav, Transponder,
DME, and ADF remote units. These new products join the new technology VHF
Comm products that were introduced in 2002. The addition of a Mode S Transponder
will complete the line of remote mount Nav/Com equipment available from
Cobham Avionics Communications.
The DME and Transponder products will be functionally backward interchangeable with previous models; but, they will be smaller, lighter and will include new technology electronics tested to the latest environmental standards of DO-160D. These units will be certified to FAA TSO-C66c and TSO-C112 respectively and also certified to JAA JTSO's. Mounting adapters will be available for easy retrofit installations. The Control-Display units will be interchangeable with existing Nav/Com controls and will provide a distinctive new look to the aircraft panel. |
